A Day of Service, Teamwork, and Community

At US Community Credit Union, the word community isn’t just in our name, it’s at the heart of everything we do. Each year, our employees step away from the office to take part in our Annual Give Back Day. This year, our team joined forces with the Centennial Park Conservancy to help preserve one of Nashville’s most treasured spaces.

From picking up bags of trash to assisting with crafts for their Kids Program, our employees gave their time and energy to projects that will leave a lasting impact on park visitors for months to come.

Supporting the Mission of the Centennial Park Conservancy

The Centennial Park Conservancy is a nonprofit dedicated to maintaining and enhancing Centennial Park, one of the most beloved public spaces in Nashville. Beyond keeping the park beautiful, the Conservancy:

  • Protects green space and historic landmarks, including the iconic Parthenon.
  • Provides cultural and educational programming like art exhibits, music, and children’s activities.
  • Ensures the park is a safe, vibrant place where our community can gather, learn, and grow.

By working alongside their team, USCCU was able to contribute to a mission that goes far beyond cleaning up litter. Every bag of trash collected meant a safer, cleaner environment for families, runners, dog-walkers, and visitors who rely on the park for connection and relaxation.

More Than Just Service, Building Connections

The day wasn’t only about giving back, but also about teamwork, laughter, and shared purpose. Our employees worked side by side, strengthening relationships and creating lasting memories.

One of our team members shared: “It was a lovely day and I had a wonderful time and hope that our efforts were helpful!”

Their words capture the spirit of the day: small actions coming together to make a big difference.

Give Back Day is more than a tradition, it’s a reflection of who we are as a credit union. We are proud to invest in our employees, empower them to serve, and honor our mission to support the communities we call home.

To our members, thank you for allowing us the opportunity to serve. Your support makes events like this possible and helps US live out the most important word in our name: Community.
